Try Before You Buy

If you want to try one of our AI2 or night nappies, but don't want to potentially be left with a nappy that doesn't suit your needs, you can "rent":

• a "Fundamentals" AI2 nappy in newborn or extra small for $10 plus a $15 refundable deposit, plus a flat rate postage of $7 (Express Post); or
• a "Fundamentals" AI2 nappy in small, medium or large for $15 plus a $15 refundable deposit, plus a flat rate postage of $7 (Express Post); or
• a "Sleepy Tots" night nappy for $20 and a $30 refundable deposit, plus a flat rate postage of $7 (Express Post).

How it works

You will receive the shell of the nappy and a double booster system with the AI2, or a triple booster system with the night nappy.

If you decide to purchase a nappy, all we ask is that you return the laundered trial nappy shell (minus the boosters) and then email us with your colour selections for your brand new nappy, and we'll cover the cost of re-delivery to you!

If you decide that Ticklefish Tots nappies are not for you, then we do ask that you return the laundered trial nappy shell, and when we receive it at our end, your deposit will be refunded.

Regardless of your decision, the boosters are yours to keep.

Rental period is strictly for a maximum of three weeks ... for instance, if you place a rental through the website on the 1st of the month, we require the shell to be returned by the 21st of the month. This allows for delivery time at either end of the period.

** Remember, the shell of the nappy will more often than not be a second hand component, but the booster will always be new (and can be imaginatively incorporated into other brands of nappy, including pockets!) **

Example 1:

You rent a newborn "Fundamentals" AI2. You receive one complete nappy, comprised of the shell and a double booster system.

The breakdown is as follows:

$10 - rental fee

$15 - refundable deposit

$7 - postage

Total = $32

Option 1: You go on to purchase a brand new "Fundamentals" AI2, valued at $25.

Your nappy is already paid for through the rental scheme - that is, your deposit is not refunded.

You need to return the rental shell, but get to keep the boosters.

You receive a brand new shell, to your specifications.

Postage this time around is free!

If you decide to purchase a nappy from a different range ("Evolutions", "Sparklies", "Velveteens", "Two Tone Mix'n'Match", "Fancies") you will be required to pay the additional charges that these ranges incur.

If you opt for the "Exquisites" or "Opulents" ranges, you will be required to pay the additional charges for these ranges, PLUS the cost of the upgraded booster system (meaning that in effect, you will have two interchangeable booster systems for your nappy!!)

Option 2: You decide not to purchase a nappy. You need to return the rental shell, but get to keep the boosters.

$15 - refunded to you via Paypal or into your bank account (these details need to be provided to me if you choose this option)

Example 2:

You rent a medium "Fundamentals" AI2. You receive one complete nappy, comprised of the shell and a double booster system.

The breakdown is as follows:

$15 - rental fee

$15 - refundable deposit

$7 - postage

Total = $37

Option 1: You go on to purchase a brand new "Fundamentals" AI2, valued at $30.

Your nappy is already paid for through the rental scheme - that is, your deposit is not refunded.

You need to return the rental shell, but get to keep the boosters.

You receive a brand new shell, to your specifications.

Postage this time around is free!

Total = $57

Option 1: You go on to purchase a brand new "Sleepy Tots" Night nappy, valued at $50.

Your nappy is already paid for through the rental scheme - that is, your deposit is not refunded.

You need to return the rental shell, but get to keep the boosters.

You receive a brand new shell, to your specifications.

Postage this time around is free!

Option 2: You decide not to purchase a nappy. You need to return the rental shell, but get to keep the boosters.

$20 - refunded to you via Paypal or into your bank account (these details need to be provided to me if you choose this option)

Advantages

As you can see, in both examples, the option to buy does not disadvantage you - you ultimately get the nappy for the same price as a direct purchase.

Additionally, you have had the opportunity to trial a nappy for a fraction of the cost of purchasing, and without the hassle of trying to onsell a "used" nappy that you have no further use for!

The only additional cost is the return postage of the shell to us, and you are free to do that in the most economical way (the shell itself is quite light!), as long as it is returned!
