Nappy Shell Construction

All of our nappies are overlocked together, inside out, with a 4-thread overlocker using polyester cotton, meaning that all of the layers (inner, outer and hidden PUL where stated) are stitched together in one go, except for a small opening in the front. Lastin is zig-zag stitched into the leg and back areas, creating a soft rolled effect which doesn't cut into your child. The nappy is then turned right way in, through the opening left, all layers folded in towards one another and stitched closed using colour co-ordinating thread. The back and leg areas are then top-stitched around the hidden lastin, helping to not only create a more cupped shell, but giving a neater appearance as well.

Booster Construction

Similarly, our boosters are 4-thread overlocked with white polyester cotton, but on the outside, with neatly finished corners and edges.

Closures

"Snaps" refers to polyacetal resin snaps.

"Hook and Loop" refers to 38mm wide hook and loop which has relatively soft edges.

Hidden snaps

The cap part of the snaps never touch your child's skin.Whether a front fasten or a side snap nappy, the socket component of the snaps are applied to the outer layer of the nappy before all layers are sewn together, so that the caps are covered by the inner layer of the nappy.  The snaps on our boosters are applied through the microfibre and hemp layers, before the overlocking occurs, so that the caps are hidden under the bamboo fleece or velour top layer.

Interchangeable Boosters

Our boosters are designed to be interchangeable amongst same sized nappies, and each booster has a size tag attached. However, some boosters from older versions of our nappies may not necessarily have the same dimensions as our newer styles.

Additional Boosting

Our nappies are constructed in such a way that additional boosting may be used, if so desired, without causing the leg opening to gape. In fact, with our innovative double booster system, same sized boosters can simply be snapped together and added to the existing double booster system!
